RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Quality within SMI

Quality is paramount within SMI. All SMI employees are committed to utilising the Quality Management System to deliver the highest quality products. The organisation is aware of the benefits associated with a strong, purposeful Quality Management System that meets the needs of not just the regulators and customers, but also the needs of our employees.

SMI engaged quality into the organisation from day 1. This has facilitated a very robust approach to the development and implementations of the Quality Processes within SMI. This has been complimented by a strong Quality Vision adopted and driven by the Quality Team Members:-

SMI Quality Vision

Develop and implement simplistic business processes that meet the needs of

What does that look like?

This vision lends itself to the creation of a Quality Strategy that is focussed on meeting customer needs through innovation and new technologies based on a “Paperless... Effortless” approach.

SMI have already taken huge steps towards this vision that not only, innovatively enforces product and process compliance, but is also very beneficial to the external environment by reducing and minimising waste.

US Clinical Team

We have a clearly different Clinical Research team based both here at Stirling and in Boston, Massachusetts. Being located in both Europe and the US gives us a great advantage in terms of meeting the needs of our regulators and ensuring we carry out our clinical research programs effectively. We bring a diverse set of knowledge and experience to the organisation while delivering trials to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our products and investigating clinical value and outcomes. We are passionate about ensuring we facilitate the development and approval of great products through working with our customers – the patients, doctors, nurses and other professionals who will ultimately use our products as part of their daily lives.

Here are some pictures of the team together at a recent meeting in Scotland. It didn’t rain all week would you believe?!
